Living Well Through Lent

Living Well Through Lent 2020: Practicing Courage With All Your Heart, Soul, Strength, and Mind. Booklets are now available in the back of the church. Discussions will be held on Monday evenings (Mar 9, 16, 23, 30, Apr 6) at 7pm using this daily devotional from Living Compass. This booklet provides a foundation for seeking a deeper experience of Lent, an experience that will help prepare us for the true meaning of Easter.

Lenten Book Club

There is  a Lenten Book Club  planned, starting Tuesday March 10th at 10am. We will be reading from a booklet by an Oxford professor of Theology addressing the question: Why Are We Here? The Booklet explores the 4 basic questions about the human condition posed by Dr Roy Baumeister -The Question of  Identity- Who am I?   The Question of Value- Do I matter?  The Question of Purpose - Why am I here? and the Question of Agency - Can I make a Difference? Join us for these challenging discussions every Tuesday in Lent in St Paul’s Guildhall.

Lenten preaching series

Lenten preaching series - The days leading up to Easter Sunday are for reflection, prayer and self examination. This Lenten series is meant to provoke thought, questions and reflections on our relationship with God, and in particular the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on our behalf. Join us for this Lenten series that meld together thoughts and prayers from across the centuries, starting with scripture, and includes sayings from  the 4th century desert fathers and theological thoughts from the  great christian writers throughout the centuries.
